Wow, it's been a while since my last blog! November 2018!?! What have I been doing all this time? Well, glad I asked. Lots as it goes but I just never seem to get round to blogging about it for numerous reasons but hey, here we are and that's what New Year resolutions are for and I do have lots to update you on, but for this blog I just want to focus on some of the highlights of 2019 and summarise what I've been doing.
The first thing I will say is a huge THANK YOU to everyone I've worked with in 2019. I've done some amazing shoots which took me to some incredible venues around the country, some far and wide, others right here on my doorstep in Bristol and Bath.
The last 12 months have seen me diversify my photography heavily into property with the likes of ehouse Ltd and Residential Support Ltd as well as joining commercial photography companies Lemon One and Perfocal for product, portrait, lifestyle and wedding photography. I've continued taking food photography for the Food & Drink Guide, enjoying my seasonal coverage of the Bath and Bristol guides (and eaten some MASSIVE burgers on the way!). I also started shooting for Uber Eats with french commercial imaging company, Ocus.
It goes without saying that all the weddings that I have done this year have been thoroughly enjoyable and I am blessed to have consistently wonderful and friendly couples to photograph. I've covered many amazing venues, some on multiple ocassions, from Clearwell Castle, Ston Easton Park, Bath Spa Hotel, Guildhall in Bath, Woburn Sculpture Gallery and the latest venue where I've been added as a preferred supplier, the Limpley Stoke Hotel.
One of the things that I have been most proud of is having started to teach photography lessons with The Photo Academy to students in Bristol, having notched up nearly 60 hours of tuition time to date. It has been such an uplifting and joyous feeling to discuss all the various areas and subjects of photography and pass on my knowledge and experience.
I am aiming big for 2020 and setting myself some big challenges - and some small ones too! - one of which is to blog more. There have been some great weddings this year that I never get to fully share all the stories and photos so I will try to get some of them done in the coming weeks and hopefully keep up the momentum.
So here is a selection of some of my favourite photos from 2019, enjoy.
Happy New Year
