My recent adventures took me to the American Museum last week to provide event photography for the launch of the 1920's Jazz Age Fashion & Photographs which is on display there until 29th October 2017. I always love photographing there as it's such a beautiful venue overlooking the valleys of Bath and the staff are so friendly.
Lots of glamorous dresses were on display showing the trend-setting new style that America brought to the world at that time and the museum encouraged people to come in fancy dress, offering free entry for those who did, and those who did did it in style!

Got the moves!
Visitors were treated to try on various garments like hats, feathery scarves and cigarette holders to help them get into character.

There was a 1924 Ford Model T and a 1929 Ford Model A on display which stirs up images of pin striped gangsters and tommy guns tearing through the streets of Chicago. These were delivered by lorry though, I think the Bath hills would've been too steep for them!

A great part of the day were the dance workshops where demonstrations of the Charleston dance were given and then lessons on how to do it. Everyone watching got up to have a go and left with some new moves under their belt!

There was something special for the kids too with colouring pens, glue, cardboard and buttons for them to make their own 1920's accessories.
