When I first met Abby & Joe to discuss their wedding plans I was super excited to not only be their photographer but to get the chance to shoot at the Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury. It's like it was made for weddings with it's converted barn and balcony, various gardens and gazebos, and quaint little cottages surrounding them.

Abby & Joe were getting ready in neighbouring cottages so we had to be careful going to close to the windows or risk them seeing each other! The wedding dress was originally being photographed with the curtains open but the excited guests were arriving and popping their head through the window to say hello so we had to go on lockdown!

After the prep shots the ceremony got underway under the illuminated 'Love' letters and string lights and the vows were exchanged. We made our way out onto the spacious lawn for the group shot in which I found myself standing on a chair in the flower bed in order to see everyone (I don't think the gardener was very happy about that but luckily Nigel the videographer got the blame!) :o)

Smaller family and friends group shots followed, including one with the 'Funboys' - Joe's uni mates... and by the looks of them I'm sure they had a lot of fun back then! They slipped into this pose seamlessly so I think it's appeared in many other photographs.

We took a walk around the garden with just Abby & Joe as I set up some romantic shots in the gazebo and gardens by the house. Abby & Joe wanted lots of natural shots so once the group and couple shots were done I floated around the guests capturing them laughing and chatting away in the sunshine.

In the evening they had hired some casino tables with roulette and blackjack which got everyone's betting taste buds going.

I was very pleased that Abby had decided to do a bouquet toss from the balcony as I find it quite rare that brides want to part with them. Beyonce's 'Single Ladies' played out of course and one lucky lady was very happy to catch it!

The 'Love' letters provided a perfect backdrop not just for the newlyweds but all the other happy couples who came to celebrate this special day.
