It was good to be back at the Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel again for Caroline and Daniel's wedding and I was really looking forward to it. They had asked for some fun shots on the day and sent some various images over they'd found on Pinterest for me to recreate so I knew they would be up for a giggle on the day. One of them was the classic 'chased by a dinosaur' shot in which I instructed 7 grown men to run at me screaming like lunatics. It was quite a sight but they loved the finished result.

A great thing about doing the preparation photos at the Bath Spa Hotel is that the rooms are so spacious and light which helps to get shots from all different angles. The wedding cremony was in the Vellore, a grand room with chandaliers, Roman pillars, a high domed roof and a red carpet to walk down the aisle on.

Both seemed very relaxed as the ceremony got under way and Daniel had a cheeky grin on his face and kept whispering things into Caroline's ear to make her smile.
Following the ceremony we headed to the Grange Suite to take photos on the balcony and get a group shot of everyone below by the gardens. It used to be used for wedding ceremonies but has now been turned into private rooms. There was someone due to check in later that day (a VVIP we were told!) but fortunately the 12.30pm ceremony allowed us to get in and out beforehand.

I love shooting in the gardens here as every angle offers a beautiful backdrop. With some clever lighting the temple and the stone arches can make a spectacular addition to the photos. As the cave is at the bottom of the garden it is usually reserved for the bride and groom as the majority of the shots are done nearer the hotel (and drinks!). A special thanks to Kev & Tom the ushers for doing a sterling job by the way!

Dinner and speeches then took place in the Avon Suite which some more shots by the fountain outside later in the evening. One of the pics that Caroline wanted was of the wedding rings of her, her mums and grandmothers which was a nice idea.

After smiling for the cameras all day Caroline and Daniel made time for one more photo in front of the hotel which I am so pleased about as it's my favourite shot from the day.
